Declare My Words and see the victory

Updated: Apr 24, 2020

For the Word of God is alive and active.

Jacob’s Ladder

Then he (Jacob) dreamed, and behold, a ladder was set up on the earth, and its top reached to heaven; and there the angels of God were ascending and descending on it.

Genesis 28:12

I have been asking God about Jacob’s ladder for quite some time; what does it means when the angels of God were ascending and descending? Ps. Bill Johnson in one of his books explained this. He said that the angels ascend after they finish their duty and descend when they are going to do their duty.

But what duties do angels carry?

David in Psalm 103:20 says that God’s angels heed the voice of His Word.

Bless the Lord, you His angels,

Who excel in strength, who do His word,

Heeding the voice of His Word

(Psalm 103:20)

When we declare His Words, we are activating His angels to do what His Words say. Have we been activating God’s angels these days? Have we been seeking God, asking Him to reveal His heart and listening to what He had to say about this coronavirus situation? Or have we been too busy thinking about what we can do with our own strength to survive this pandemic? Have we been forgetting that we have a living God who has given us the power to trample upon the serpent and the scorpion, and over all the power of the enemy and nothing shall by any means hurt us (Luke 10:19)?

Use the authority that Jesus has given us

Jesus has given us all authority and power in His name. This is the time for the body of Christ to unite and to stand strong in the Lord, and to use the authority and the power that He has given unto us His children. And that is by speaking and declaring His word:

For the Word of God is living and active and full of power (making it operative, energizing, and effective).

It is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating as far as the division of the soul and spirit (the completeness of a person), and of both joints and marrow (the deepest part of our nature), exposing and judging the very thoughts and intensions of the heart.

(Hebrew 4:12 - AMP)

Ps. Ankia Van Der Merwe in her book, School of Intimacy, explained that the word “two-edged sword” has a deeper meaning than just being a sword with two edges. Two-edged, in Greek comes from the word “distomos”:

Dis: twice, again

Stoma: the mouth (as if a gash in the face); by implication language (and its relations); figuratively an opening (in the earth); specifically in front of or edge: - edge, face, mouth

So what this verse is saying is, not only God’s Word is a powerful and sharp sword, but also when we speak God’s Word, His Word is made alive and active. We do not just read a written Word but every time we declare it becomes a spoken Word: His Word becomes a word spoken out of two mouths, first when God Himself spoke the Word and then when we agree with Him and declare it – two edged!

Declare and see the victory

According to Jewish Calendar, we are in the year of 5780. Now, numbers are very significant in Hebrew because each Hebrew letter also carries a numerical value. The number 80 here marks the new decade of a new season and is the numerical value for the Hebrew letter “Pey” which means “mouth”. We believe that from 5780 onward, it will be the season where victory will manifest by us declaring what God tells us to declare. So, do not be silent, children of God! Take your place, stand strong in Jesus, and speak what He asks you to speak, with boldness and faith in Him.

In Proverbs 18:21, it’s said that life and death are in the power of the tongue. Our words are powerful! Let’s activate God’s angels by declaring what God put in our heart for this season. Do not focus on your situations or challenges but choose to seek His heart and declare His Word over your mountains. Spend lots of time with Him, wait upon Him, and ask Him to reveal His heart, what He is saying about your situation.

We have a God who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they were. If there is any dead area in your life, believe that God is able to breath life into it. Ask God to show you His purpose for you, speak it out, and believe that God is able to bring it to pass. Believe that you are blessed with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, which means you have what you need to do what He has called you to do. He wants to partner with you to bring His Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven.

This is a call for the body of Christ to rise up. Know who you are in Christ, what you have, and what you can do with Christ. Let us declare His Decree and see the victory, keep His angels busy, people!

So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth;

It shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

(Isaiah 55:11)

Keep speaking to your mountain

One day as I was waiting on The Lord to speak to me, He showed me a vision. I saw a huge mountain in front of me and He told me that when I declare His Word, every Word I declare will be like a laser cutting the mountain, starting at the bottom part (the foundation) of the mountain. And if I keep declaring, the laser will eventually erode the whole mountain.

So I did and true enough, I saw a the bottom of the mountain was being cut by the laser. But then I looked at the mountain top and He asked me what I saw. I said, “the mountain is still there, as high and as big as before, nothing's changed”.

He then taught me that often time if we shift our focus to look at our mountain instead of looking at Him, it will seem like nothing happens, nothing changes. We will feel like we have done everything we know, we’ve declared His Word, but nothing happens. We might even cry out, “Lord, why are You not helping me? Why are You not doing anything? Lord, where are You?”

After this, He brought my focus back to the bottom part of the mountain, and suddenly I saw it has completely eroded by the laser that the mountain just crumbling down. Just like that, like the wall of Jericho.

There is power in declaring His Words, because His Words are sharper that any double-edged sword. Keep declaring the Words that He’s put in your heart and declare it over your mountain, your situation, your condition, and see the victory!

A prophetic dream I received

Abba is emphasising this because I received the same message but through a dream.

In that dream, I was in a city and people were happily doing their things when suddenly a surge of water coming towards us, a sudden flood. People were running in panic, trying to find a safe place. Somehow I was not panic, and as I was walking, I asked God where to go. Then in a split second, I was brought back to the original position, before the flood happened, the day was bright and sunny, as if the flood never happened.

Soon after, I found myself walking away from the flood and was walking on an uphill. Once on top, I saw two people, they look like they’re worshipping and I asked them what’s going on. Then I saw from afar, there’s a huge coral stone at the edge of an abyss. The stone was melting. The Lord told me that it was where the flood came from. The two people then told me that it’s important for His people to declare His Words. At the same time, I saw the water underneath me continued to rise, to the face level, and many people were trapped by the water. Suddenly, I heard the two people were declaring something and immediately, the water receded down.

In these last days, there will be many events that seem unprecedented, like the coronavirus pandemic, that catch many people off-guard. We need to keep watching and keep praying to prepare. Go to the High Place where His presence is. There He will tell you what to do and what to declare. And when you obey, things will shift.

Remind each other to be rooted in His Word and to have intimacy with God. Let’s dwell in the  shelter of the Most High.
